How “Nova” was made
Nova is a two-minute sci-fi short, written, cast, storyboarded and rendered entirely inside Torax. Here is the build.
Nova started as a one-line brief: a lone traveller on a world with two suns. Two days later it was a finished cut.
The build
We generated a short script from the brief, parsed it into four scenes, and built a single character, the traveller, in the asset library. Every shot referenced that one character, which is why the face holds across the whole piece.
- Script & parse: ~20 minutes.
- Cast & scene setup: ~30 minutes.
- Storyboard, render and edit: the rest of day two.
No exports, no round-trips. The same world traveled from script to screen in one workspace.
You can watch Nova in the showcase. The whole thing is one project file.
